It’s Monday. And amidst the craziness of having people in my house all week, I got a few things done that I’ve pinned from Pinterest. 2 cleaning ones and a simple “dessert.”

Review: Um, duh, why did I think of this? I just bought a cheap dish rack at Wal-Mart, but they even have some at the dollar store. My lids were all over the place and now they are easy to find! I wonder how long they’ll stay like this.

My review: I’ve made caramels a few times before but it usually involves standing over the stove for a long time. Who knew you could do it in the microwave with 5 ingredients? I needed to cook them a touch longer, but these were amazing! I added some sea salt to a small part of my batch. Since they were a bit soft, we just used it for caramel dip. Fabulous! Try it.

My review: This short video gives you 3 ways to clean your ring. I must say I’m still madly in love with my engagement and wedding ring. William did a pretty amazing job with them. :) I used the ammonia method, but did also use a toothbrush. The pictures don’t do justice how much cleaner they are! I love how sparkly they were after only a few minutes of cleaning. So pretty!Have a great week everyone!

My review: Fabulous! As my first foray into freezer cooking, I appreciated the simple recipes, what side dish I could serve, and a shopping list! I made 7 of the 8 meals as I wasn’t really feeling in the mood for beef stew yet. It probably took me more than an hour, but I had 2 kiddos I was dealing with and I kinda worked on this over a whole day instead of one chunk of time. We’ve already eaten 2 of them (the cilantro lime chicken and BBQ ribs) and they were both very good! I can totally see falling in love with freezer cooking. If you're wanting to try it, this is a great place to start!
Welcome to Pinned It, Did It Monday, where I try to actually do some of the pins I find on Pinterest. This week’s pins are brought to you by small group. Meaning I’m starting to lead/host small group this week which means my house needs to get clean, fast. So all 3 pins are cleaning related today!
I have a love/hate relationship with my floors. I love when they are clean, but I hate actually cleaning them. With a toddler and a cat, they are constantly in need of sweeping and mopping. For the quick mops, I love my Swiffer but the refills are pricy and I use at least 2 of the wet ones for my large kitchen. Enter this pin. Umm duh, why didn’t I think of this. Use an old towel and sew it into a reusable Swiffer pad?! 
I have yet to find a glass stove top cleaner that really works to get it clean. So I found this.
Then you just generously pour on the baking soda:
And cover with warm, soapy rags for about 15 minutes.
And viola, a clean stove top. Well, don’t look too close at the streaks on the back.
Not bad for baking soda!
My Review: Way cheaper and “greener” than other cleaners and I just let it soak while I was cleaning up all the other dishes. This will definitely be the way I clean this baby from now on!
Is there anything I hate cleaning more than the bathroom? Nope. I mean how do the tubs and shower get so dirty when there’s so much soap being used? :)

My Review:It worked! I heated the vinegar, mixed in a equal amount of blue Dawn dish soap and put it in an old Windex bottle. I sprayed it on, let it sit about an hour and wiped away. My shower floor probably needs another application for some stubborn spots, but even my walls washed off clean. Score!
Welcome to Pinned It, Did It Monday, where every week I try to actually do something I’ve pinned from Pinterest. But this week could titled Pinned It, FAILED it! Can't win them all I guess. 
My review: Well, I don’t have a food dehydrator. But no problem right, because the directions said I could just use my oven on the lowest heat setting for about 5-6 hours. And all you had to do was puree a few cups of strawberries and add a dash of cinnamon! Well, I'm not sure what happened. I think I probably just poured it a little too thin. So it got crispy and stuck the pan. The parts I could peel off tasted great, but it looks nothing like the original. Going to keep hunting around for a recipe for these or try this again and pour it thicker (I had divided it up into 2 small pans). And I probably should have used parchment paper too come to think of it. Ok, onto my next fail of the week. 
We were running super low on our Cascade Power Packs for the dishwasher when I saw someone pin this. The before and after pictures of her glasses without the hard water marks were great so I had hopes of saving us a little money and using this stuff! I still have some marks on some of my glassware from when we lived in Lafayette. Their water was terrible!
My Review: So disappointed! It got my stuff clean. There's no food left on the plates or anything. But I saw more water spots on all my dishes than ever before. And everything felt like it had a little film on it, if you know what I mean. I won't even show you the before and after pictures of my glasses, because they look exactly the same. So now I'm torn. I spent the money on making this stuff, so I may just use it until it's gone. But after this, I'm sad to say I think I'll be buying my Cascade again.
