Baby Sprinkle!
I told my small group ladies that I didn't want or need shower/sprinkle for this little guy. I have all the clothes I need from Owen and really only had one or two items on my “must” buy list. But they insisted and it was super fun to celebrate with the 3 (yes 4 total) pregnant ladies in our small group. Christine had decorated adorably and made us feel so special.
This has been a little joke in our girl’s nights. Christine has a love of “ranking” things and it progressed into this fun game for the night. We each brought one or two flavors of M&M’s. There are 12 flavors on that table and that’s not even all the flavors out there. Then, we sat around the table and munched on chocolate!
Christine had made this adorable ranking sheet and as we ate, we gave the flavors numbers 1-12. Then we shared our rankings and answered fun ice-breaker type questions about ourselves that related to the flavor. For example, the mega M&M’s question was “What’s your mega dream job?”
2 pink baskets and 2 blue!
I just love these ladies. They are so real and it’s wonderful knowing I have a group of ladies that I can weekly spill my guts to! They spoiled us and now the closet is full of diapers ready for the little man.
I made a few little bibs to tuck in with all the diapers and wipes!
2 of the babies have made their appearance as of publishing this. One more down and then we’re up!!

Alyssa's shower
My cousin, Alyssa (and her hubby Nate) is due any day with her first little girl. This weekend I got to help throw her an adorable shower. Her nursery is navy and pink so that’s what I went with for the decor! Navy is almost always associated with boy decor, so I had to get a little creative. I grabbed some fabric at Joann’s and with my rotary cutter, cut them into 1 inch strips. I simply tied them to a ribbon to make a little banner. (I didn’t get a great shot of this in action, so here it is in the making).
I also make a simple 2 tier diaper cake (directions here). I tied some tulle around the bottom to make a “tutu” skirt. The flower piece around the top layer is headband for baby K!
Here’s her gift from my mom and myself. She registered for the pink baskets which I filled with some of my favorite things for baby.
Here’s a few beautiful shots from Erica. I took the leftover pieces of fabric and sewed them together for a table runner.
The pink lanterns were just bought from Hobby Lobby. I found a small embroidery hoop at the IDEA store for $.25. I took it apart and covered both parts with more strips of the pink and navy fabrics to make little “mobiles”. These all hung over the chair where Alyssa opened her gifts.
It was such a sweet shower with cute games and yummy food.
Here’s a few of the ladies with my cousin Alyssa (who’s in the black and white striped dress). Cannot wait to hear the news of this little girl’s arrival and finally learn her name!!

EPN's shower
Today was a fun day of celebrating with our friends, Nate and Kimberly who I married last summer! They are pregnant with a little girl and were in town for a girly baseball-themed shower thrown by Nate's sister. I helped her out with a little crafting.

Michele had asked me to cut vinyl to finish this cool baseball scoreboard. Kimberly and Nate were keeping EPN's name a secret and had people guess her first and middle name on the board and they revealed it at the end of the shower. I guessed her first name correctly! :)
I also made all these little pennants that Michele put in cute vases filled with peanuts and sunflower seeds.
Owen tried his hand at throwing baseballs through the different shapes. And both of the kids loved the tire swing.
I must say it was super cute to watch how excited Nate got over the gifts. And at the end of the shower, it was revealed that her name is going to be Eleanor Prairie. So excited for you guys and for Halle to be a big sister! Can't wait to meet the new little miss at Christmas time!

Kara's gift {etched pan and casserole carrier}
Today we got to celebrate my brother's upcoming wedding to Kara with an awesome shower thrown by my aunts. Since I left my camera on the table next to something else I was supposed to bring, pictures of the actual shower will have to wait until my cousin posts a few. But I couldn't wait to show off Kara's gift.
My go-to wedding shower gift is a set of Pyrex pans. I don't care if most brides don't have them on their registry, because they should. I use my Pyrex pan several times each week and love that it has a lid making it easy to transport. I love to etch the pans with the couple's last name (see a more detailed post on that here). I etched her pans on the side with "hoerr" and a flower and then did cute little flags on the bottom.
But then I went all Pinterest crazy. One night while I was making birthday party lists in my head, lying in bed, I had the urge to check Pinterest for something else to add to Kara's gift. And I found this (and this) tutorial for a casserole dish cover. Can you say perfect! It was a little intimidating as I'd never sewn with insulation material or the belting. But it turned out adorable, if I don't say so myself. It folds up on itself and then insulation material keeps your dish warm.
I made an oven mitt to go along and I added spatulas and towels that she registered for to complete the gift. Wasn't that fabric a perfect match to her towels. Swoon.
Long live the pot luck!

Julie's Shower!
Ignore the fact this shower was a couple weeks ago. I blame birthday party craziness for my lack of blogging! :) A month ago my cousin welcomed her third child and her FIRST girl! It was the most amazing birth story - she got a vbac after 2 c-sections! I still tear up thinking about it. A bunch of ladies threw her an awesome "sprinkle" to welcome Miss Maggie. I might have gone a little crazy with her gift, but I saw the fabric, fell in love, and went to work!
