Sara's shower part 3: the actual people and party

Everything was ready and it was shower time! The guests started to arrive, starting with Becky and Lori who helped host the shower. Avery and Owen were the two kid guests (although Owen went upstairs to hang with the guys).
holding hands:After everyone arrived, we dug into the yummy food and good conversation.
Next it was time for a couple games:
The ladies were concentrating very hard for the two games. The first one I ordered off Ebay and it has 12 ultrasound pictures with arrows pointing to certain parts. The goal is to match the 12 body parts with the correct picture. It was quite hard and had people naming kidneys as lips and boy parts as girl parts. :)

The second game was a Baby Trivia game (I totally stole this idea from Julie who did it for my shower). It had a few questions about babies such as how many diapers do they go through and how big does the uterus get during pregnancy. But most of the questions I asked Sara ahead of time to help us get to know her and her pregnancy more. Here's a picture of it. Feel free to "steal" it here from Google docs if you need a game for a shower.
After games, Sara got to open all the adorable PINK packages. She got so much great stuff!
What a great helper Ms. Avery was! After gifts, we gathered around Sara and prayed for her, this sweet baby girl, her labor/delivery and the journey into motherhood. The Kleenex were definitely getting passed around.
Here's a few more pictures of all the ladies who attended:
the planners and guest of honor:
he was giving her TONS of smiles!
the GIRL baby bumps! :)
Sara and our friend Monica who drove over all the way from Peoria:
Now I would call that a successful shower! Hope you felt so loved Sara because we DO love you much and cannot wait to meet that sweet girl in 2 months!
