Ellie’s Strawberry
I don’t think I’ve ever posted about this, even in her monthly summaries. Ellie has this little strawberry mark (hemangioma is the medical term) on her shoulder. As you can see in one of her birth pictures, it wasn’t there and I can’t remember exactly when I first noticed it. It was definitely in the first couple weeks of her life. It’s flat like her skin unlike other hemangiomas you can see here. The doctor said it could go away by the time she’s 8-10 or she may have it forever. I think it’s kinda cute and kiss it all the time. But I do pray that she’s not self conscious about it in any way as she gets older.

So sweet! Nathan had one on his back, but it started to fade when he was about two and now it's nearly gone. Whether it fades or not, I'm sure you'll say just the right thing to make it a special thing for her instead of something to be embarrassed by.
